We have a lineup of interesting wines from France, Italy, and California. Two wonderful white wines.: both dry as a bone and, grown near the sea, and crazy cool. For Reds we will start in Piedmont, Italy for a Barbera from the town of Asti. Then to southern France for a dark blend from the town of Minervois. Then we get serious, with two Bordeaux blends: one from Napa, California and one from…..Bordeaux, France!!!

Here are the goods!
La Mariniere, Muscadet, Loire $11
This wine is NOT Muscat, like Moscato d’Asti. This wine is NOT sweet. This wine IS from a grape called Melon Du Bourgogne and is from the eastern Loire Valley. Bone dry with crisp apple and citrus flavors flecked with hints of yeast, white pepper and sea salt. Muscadet is criminally under-appreciated by most wine drinkers and so offers extremely good value.
Felline, Vermentino $12
Usually grown on Sardinia, but this is a Vermentino in Puglia?! The warmer climes of this southern Italian region make for a slightly riper, more fruit-forward expression of the frequently austere variety. Peachy and floral, with slightly grassy undertones that lead to a stony, mineral-driven finish reminiscent of sea spray. Delicious!
Liedholm, Barbera D’Alba, $19
Very bright ruby red with purple and scarlet highlights; fragrant, vinous nose when young, hinting at plums and cherry and blackberry jam; full-bodied flavor with a lively acidity showing through, making for a fresh, appealing, modern-style wine
Chateau D’Ouipia, Minervois $14
The Minervois is 60% Carignan (from vineyards up to 100 years old), 30% Syrah and 10% Grenache. It is aromatic, full and densely colored, with a long finish of dark fruits. The wine is elegant and balanced. Dark, ruby-colored, the wine is wonderfully clean and pure, with an exuberant personality, and gobs of rich, peppery, red and black fruit.
Elizabeth Rose, Chockablock Napa Red $21
This Red Blend displays intense and vibrant dark red cherry with hints of chocolate. A lush, fleshy, and appealing palate of red fruits and spices. It is well balanced with integrated soft & round tannins making it is easy to drink now with the perfect balance of strength and elegance

La Sacristie, De La Vielle Cure Bordeaux $24
The richness of this wine is palpable in the dense, chewy black plum skin flavors, in the dark tannins and in the concentrated structure that comes through strongly. The wine has power, concentration and dark intensity. 74% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon
