Sauvignon Blanc & Syrah
Here we are with my two favorite grapes. I love the crispness and the expressiveness of Sauvignon Blanc. With classic notes of grass and grapefruit, this wine is pretty and recognizable. The three comparisons will; run the gamut. Then we move to the inky and fruity Syrah. Deep flavors of blueberry pie with a buttery crust, and pinch of cinnamon. The palate will be working overtime to taste these strong flavored dudes. So, come on in to Humble Vine and get that taste buds jumping!

Sand Point Sauv Blanc, Lodi, California 2017 $12
This light-bodied, assertive Sauvignon Blanc exudes classic aromas and flavors of fresh herb and snap pea, helping it taste crisp, dry and true to type.
Walnut Block, Sauv Blanc, Marlborough New Zealand, 2017 $15
A lively Sauvignon Blanc with powerful aromas of fresh tropical fruits and ripe citrus. The palate is concentrated with exotic fruits and citrus flavors. Well integrated natural acidity leaves a crisp and pure finish.
Stolpman, Sauv Blanc, Ballard Canyon California, 2016 $21
Crisp, yet smooth and already enticingly pleasurable, the 2016 Sauvignon Blanc fits the bill for a fresh, pure-driven white. Limestone driven chalk is beginning to shine through the wine’s fruit purity. Aromas of Meyer lemon, fresh lemonade, and lemon custard shine in a concentrated yet softly balanced body.
Lone Birch Syrah, Yakima Washington, 2014 $14
Aromas of dark plum, blue fruit and spice lead to full fruit flavors that show intensity, with vanilla flavors on the finish. The tannins show a slight grittiness that softens over time.
