Around the World

Let’s run away together and take a trip around the world!! We will taste from 6 different countries! Mostly country classics: Austrian Grüner, Italian Barbera, Spanish Rioja, a French Bordeaux, and a few notables: German Pinot Blanc and American Grenache. All are amazing, interesting, and Delicious.

So, come have your world rocked @ Humble Vine Saturday Sept 1st!! 4pm-8pm

Pratsch, Gruner Veltliner, Rotenpullen Austria $21

Gruner Veltliner is the signature grape of Austria, and by far the nation's most widely planted wine grape. As Austria battles its way back to stardom on the international wine market, crisp, spicy Grüner Veltliner has been its flagship wine. Spicy white pepper with apples, peaches and apricots and a touch of grass. Bright and crisp with lemon/lime, stone fruit and spicy white pepper.

Bocking, Pinot Blanc, Mosel Germany 2017 $15

This clear and brilliant wine reflects the mineral soil of the Mosel. There is an excellent balance of acidity and fruit that opens quickly. The wine has a roundness in the mouth and offers flavors of citrus and white flower

Nada Barbera D’Alba, Piedmont Italy $17

Aromas of white mushroom, cigar box, dried fruit, cassis, violets and cola. A sweet, velvety close is accented by delicate tones of smoked bacon, bresaola and cinnamon spice.

Vargas, Rioja Crianza, Rioja Spain $16

This is what classic Rioja is all about! Fresh and lively flavors of Bing and Rainier cherries with a hint of anise and dusty nutmeg. Drink this and you'll be ready to sail with the Spanish Armada or, more likely, enjoy some tapas while watching a film about the Spanish Armada.

La Sacristie, Fronsac, Bordeaux France $22

The richness of this wine is palpable in the dense, chewy black plum skin flavors, in the dark tannins and in the concentrated structure that comes through strongly. The wine has power, concentration and dark intensity.

Temper, Big Driver Red, Yakima America $18

Hand made by Javier Alfonso of Pomum/Idilico from top vineyards in the Yakima valley. Aromas of cherry, black currant, licorice and spice with an appealingly rich and concentrated palate of black and blue fruit flavors.
