WINE TASTING!

Full Bodied

We are full on into the world of fall flavors. Spiced meats, rich soups, gourds a plenty are on many a menu. Couple that with the rigid air on the porches we once could sit, and we require a bit more warming from our beverages. The wines this evening will showcase full body and full flavors. We start with a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, BUT not from the Marlborough. This guy is from the Hawkes Bay, way up on the North Island. Then, to Italy for a Chianti Classico fit for Kings. And we finish with a biodynamic winery making a Portuguese grape: Touriga National in BIG way. MMMM. So, put on 2 pairs of socks because these wines are sure to knock off at least one of em!!!

The Last Day of November! Saturday the 30th

4pm till the bottles run dry.

Wildsong, Sauvignon Blanc, Hawkes Bay New Zealand $16

This Sauvignon Blanc is packed with nectarine, grapefruit and cantaloupe characters with an elegant lime zest lift. The palate is generous and flavorsome with excellent fruit intensity, beautifully structured by juicy acidity, with a long finish.

J Scott, Viognier, Rogue Valley Oregon $19

The fruit for this 100% Viognier is sourced from the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon. Aged primarily in stainless steel with a touch of oak, this wine is lush and beautifully aromatic with flavors of peach, pear and notes of fresh flowers.

Argento, Malbec, Mendoza Argentina $13

This superb Malbec is deep purple, with powerful aromas of red berries and floral notes. Flavors of plum and sweet blackberry. Finishes with ripe, balanced tannins

Rocca Di Montegrossi, Chianti Classico, Tuscany Italy $23

Pure and expressive, exuding violet, black cherry, black currant and mineral flavors. Linear and wound up, with a core of fruit to match the firm structure.

Wilridge, Touriga National, Yakima Washington $25

This is a seldom-seen variety in the state. The aromas are brooding, with high-toned notes of dried herb, barrel spice and potpourri along with red fruit. The fruit flavors are tart and plump, soft and sumptuous, showing a pleasing sense of purity.
