Two gladiators each from the Pink, White and Deep red, will try to woo and wow you on this Battle of the Bubbles tasting.

Vega Medien, Brut Rose Cava, Penedes Spain $10
Cava with red currant color. Has bright, fine, and persistent bubbles with elegant reflections. Intense fragrance displays aromas of ripe red raspberries on a pastry and mocha background, A little citrus dances on the palate. Creamy and persistent in the mouth texture. Balanced acidity, with slight hints of rye bread and a long finish.

We start a bubbly, made of Cab Franc, from the Loire Valley in France. This is an all-natural “Ancestral wine”. No extra sulfur added, pesticides, or sugar. Dry and rich with an elegant style. (one our favorite bubbles). Made from a tiny producer in super small quantities.

Light straw green color. Citrusy, exotic aromas and flavors of lime sorbet and leaves and lemongrass-ginger chutney with a round, vibrant, effervescent, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a graceful, refreshing, medium-length spiced green apple and pear and hint of mint finish with fine, chewy, fruit tannins and no oak. A fun, spicy Cava that will be great with Asian foods.
Rive Gauche, Piedmont Italy $19
This sparkling Arneis has aromas of mature yellow apple skin, acacia and dried apricot. The aromas carry over to the brisk palate along with an orange zest note. Pale yellow in color. Perfume of white peach, spring flowers, and slightly herbaceous. On the palate it’s savory, balanced pleasantly vibrant with a dry finish and no residual sugar.
VS. RED
Solco Lambrusco, Puglia Italy $17
Made entirely from a grape called Salamino, this has crushed blackberries and plum aromas. Those aromas carry over to the semisweet palate, along with dried black cherry notes and hints of almond and citrus peel. Vibrant acidity keeps it fresh.
Colin, “Perle Rouge”, Loire Valley France $20
An Awesome Gamay grape. I love this wine. It is deep red, dry as a bone and sparkling! The wine is made in the method ancestral, or "pet-nat". The wine is fresh and fun, with aromas ranging from, dried flowers to dried cranberry and strawberry. In the mouth there is plenty of crunchy, crisp red cherry fruit.
