OWEN KOTLER WINES

Owen Kotler specializes in natural and raw wines!!!

"drinking a great wine should be like shaking hands with a mountain. You're drinking the very land where the vines grow, not the attenuated expression of a winemaker's ego."-A Jefford

“drinkOKwines”

is the reflection of our passion for wine
- after years drinking wine,
we found that the wines we loved most were made in a true reflection of their place.
And we wanted to share that with you!

So, with that said treat yourself and taste these awesome natural wines.

@ Humble Vine Wednesday Sept 18

4PM till the bottles run dry

Les Amethystes, Macon Villages, Burgundy France 2017 $19

100% Chardonnay from Southern Burgundy. The Macon region is known for their Chardonnay. Sometimes value, sometimes outrageous butt always exciting and delicious. This wine is brisk and full of yellow apples and white peach.

Ancarani, “Andataeritorno”, Emilio Romagna Italy, 2018 $22

Ancarni only grows native Romagna wines.  Andataeritorno translates to Round trip. This wine is biodynamic, almost orange and super cool. Labeled as a white but rich and viscous. A cool racy wine.

Crowley, Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley Oregon, 2017 $29

Brilliant red tinged with blue hues indicates freshness while the shimmering clarity advertises a classic, energetic Pinot Noir. Earth, spice and just a touch of oak meet the nose along with strawberry and cranberry. The palate is opulent and crunchy, moving into ripe flavors with a soft edge of tannin to keep the lift. This wine is high resolution, full of flavor and down-right drinkable.

Les Amethystes, Morgon, Beaujolais France, 2017 $18

An organic and biodynamic grape called Gamay. We see Gamay at Thanksgiving each year as Beaujolais Nuevo! Crafted using grapes from 70-year-old vines. This wine is particularly well-structured and velvety with beautiful aromatic complexity.

Clos Perdus 'Cuvee 151' 2017   $21

A savory, spicy, and beautifully rustic example of Corbieres. In other words, everything you could ask for from Languedoc's southernmost quarter. A blend of Carignan, Grenache, and Mourvedre, the Cuvee 151 gives rich notes of stewed cherries and raspberries, with plentiful dry earth and savory herbs alongside. Full bodied, with a long and elegant finish.
