Mark Ryan, Lu & Oly “Flowerhead” Rose, Washington, North America $21
Beginning the evening with an outstanding Mark Ryan wine! Fresh strawberry mingles with delicate apricot and peach flavors, cherries and tropical fruits. The full taste with crisp acidity combines with slight zest and spices, leaving a lasting finish. Rose all day!
Tavera, Red Blend, Spain, Europe $15
Now to Spain! A beautiful red blend of 50/50 Tempranillo and Syrah. Excellent value blend with good character. Has notes of bright fruit like strawberry on the front and dark richer currant in the back end. Big time tobacco and some leather too. The palate is full and rich, being very elegant. After fermentation, the wine is aged in American and Central European oak barrels to complete its maturation.
Cafayate, Malbec Reserve, Argentina, South America $19
Cafayate Reserve Malbec is an intense purplish red color, with aromas of ripe plum, raisins, sweet spices and a toasted note of oak. Fruit palate balanced and full-bodied, with sweet and delicate tannins. Long finish with vanilla leaves. It is smooth and delicious!
Catapult, Shiraz, Australia $20
A strong core of primary fruit shows bright raspberry and sour cherry alongside sweet blueberry and mulberry. Fresh fruits are countered with dried botanicals - fennel seed and thyme, black pepper, sweet cinnamon and musky white florals. The silky texture and juicy mid-palate has bright acidity, building to an appealing finish with rounded, grainy tannins.
