Happy New Year!!
For our last tasting of the year we offer a celebratory swath of bubbles From Italy, France, and Austria! From fun to cerebral, we will enter the labyrinth of Sparklers. Come and enjoy a Frizzante (light bubbly) then a fun every day Pet-Nat (naturally sparkling) from Italy. Then get into a traditional French Mousseux Bourgogne (tank aged) and then a less than ordinary Pet-Nat from Austria! Lets remember the year fondly as we clink our flutes and laugh as we sing Auld Lang Syne and say farewell to 2022.

Wine Tasting: $20
Monte Tondo, Garganegga Frizzante, Verona Italy $16
From the same hillsides used to produce their Soave Classico comes this “semi-sparkler”, a delightful frizzante that is light, zippy, and truly delicious. You’ve rarely (if ever) had Garganega like this, with aromas of citrus, pear blossom, and sea salt all lifted by a gentle spritz. A mineral-driven alternative to Prosecco.
Demirei Giovani, “Luigi’ Pet Nat Bianco, Piedmont Italy $22
A popular style worldwide, Pét-Nat is a French term for petillant naturel, which means a naturally sparkling wine. Unlike Champagne, there is just one fermentation that finishes in the bottle leaving mild carbonation and often times, natural sediment. The wine is energetic and fresh with lime and lemon citrus, fresh cut wildflowers, and peach pit.The nose has clear notes of orange blossom, mandarin peel, fresh bread and white flowers. 100% Arneis
Thevenet and Fils, Blanc de Blanc Brut, Burgundy France $30
100% Chardonnay (younger vines of 20 years of age) harvested from parcels in the village of Serrieres in the Macon of Burgundy. This Mousseux (aged for 6-10 months in concrete tank followed by 9 months in bottle after secondary fermentation vs. where all that happens in the bottle for Cremant and Champagne). Bone-dry with bright effervescence and earth shattering acid. Notes of lemon peel and toasty brioche.
Claus Preisinger, “Ordinaire” Pet Nat Rose, Burgenland Austria $45
A cool Pet Nat with a bright bouquet of florals and red fruit. The palate is bursting with red cherries, wild strawberries, raspberries, as if straight from the garden. Some hints of dried herbs and gorgeous effervescence, this is anything but ordinary. Biodynamic. 50% Welschriesling, 50% Pinot Noir.
