October, 5th

2-9 PM

Wine Tasting: $15

Here’s the line up!

Col di Luna, “Flora” Brut Rose Col Fondo, Veneto    $17

From the foot of the Dolomites, with a family tradition and preference for the Brut style. Flora Rosato comes from the local grape variety called Raboso, a trifecta of spice, brambly fruit, and a rather energetic acidity! The wine is fermented with a slight maceration on the skins for 12 hours, and then continues to ferment in the tank. Once the wine settles, the producer transfers the juice to the bottle, where it finishes fermentation and creates the magic fizz. This is the traditional “col fondo” style,

C’A Dei Frati, Lugana Turbiana, Veneto    $22

OK This wine is AWESOME. A special grape thought lost to time called Turbiana. Now popular, this wine is grown near the banks of Lake Garda in the Veneto outside of Verona. It has an age-ability and a spins wonderful dance of flavor and classiness.  NO Oak, NO Malolactic fermentation. Just straight up steely, bite-y flavors of pears, spices, and candied fruits. Aged 6 months on the lees it has a special complexity that holds a creamy texture. We have found Lugana wines to be typical untypical.

Vignale di Cecilia, Covolo Colli Euganei - Veneto.  $24

What the heck are these grapes doing in Veneto?! (70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet) They are making amazing wine is what they are doing. The wine is fermented and aged in vitrified concrete, which gives a fresh and charmy fruit flavors, agreeable tannins, and a full bodied punch.

Masseria, Trattasi, Aglianico Beneventano, Campania    $24

Aglianico is the oldest grape variety in the Greek world. It came across the sea to its new home in southern Italy like this one from Campania. Deep red. Aromas of wild blackberries, blueberries, red plum jams. Dense, pulpy, persistent. Aglianico del Taburno is very particular for the soils of the mountain, a middle ground in terms of consistency between Vesuvius and the Dolomites. In fact, its rocks are dolomites. A black wine with earthen, savory, and black fruit flavors.
