Crisp whites and clean reds. Let's skip through La France with whites from the south - Bordeaux and Jurançon, and reds from the north - Beaujolais, and Jura (pictured). Fun, clean, a little wild, and very delicious wines. Come in to try on a fun side of L'Hexagon.

Chateau Laubarit, Bordeaux Blanc, Bordeaux France $19

The chateau is located in Entres-Deux-Mers, or between two seas. 40% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% each of Semillon and Muscadelle.The high degree of Muscadelle is what accounts for the explosive fruit components in the nose and palate. She boasts round, yet penetrating flavors of peach, quince, and kiwi!

Camin Larredya, 'La Part Davant' Jurançon Sec, Jurançon France $31

Jurançon is about 40 miles due north of the Spanish border. This dry white is fermented and aged on the lees for 6 months in a combination of stainless steel tanks and foudres showing a full range of fresh and ripe fruits like white peach and lemon, supplemented by a touch of minerality. 50% Gros Manseng and 35% Petit Manseng and 15% Petit Courbu. 

Sornin, Morgon, Beaujolais, France $25

This is a very soft and feminine wine with red bright fruits and cherry notes with a touch of spice. Morgon is another renowned Cru Beaujolais, famous for its age-worthy wines that combine elegance and body. Les Charmes is very nicely structured due to the longer time spent in the cellar compared to other Beaujolais. 100% Gamay.

Pecheur, Cotes du Jura Rouge, Jura France $31

The Domaine Pecheur began producing wine in 1976 from a single hectare of vineyards. Located in Darbonnay, in the Cotes du Jura appellation, the domaine is owned by Christian and Patricia Pêcheur who, since its inception, have worked diligently to improve and expand production of classic Jura wines.. Made exclusively in neutral oak barrels, the wine carries moderate tannin, minerality and darker fruit hinting at brambly sous-bois notes.
