Wine Tasting: $20
Gard, Frejya White Blend, Royal Slope,Washington, $20
52% Roussanne, 48% Viognier. Citrus, caramelized peach, raw honey and chamomile tea explode on the nose. Swirling brings up lemon drop, citrus blossoms, white tea and honeycomb. The palate has more weight and texture due to the Roussanne, with spice, pithy citrus and stone fruit and a ripe finish. Freyja is named in honor of the Norwegian goddess of love and is also a nod to their family's Scandinavian roots
Florence Cellars, Sauvignon Blanc, Columbia Valley, Washington $24
This SB is styled like a fume blanc. Harvested from old vines planted in 1984 in the Rattlesnake Hills, this SB is undoubtedly ripe, layered, and texturally awesome. 8 months in neutral French oak barrels. This wine isn’t the tropical juice bomb nor the lean, austere styled SB, but rather a wine that has is balanced. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with low sulfur for maximum intensity of flavor. Lemon oil, stone fruit, orange blossom, meringue, pineapple sage, mugwort, underripe mango.
Foolhardy Vintners, Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley Washington,$33
Supple smooth, and generous. Full of black fruits, the nose has a range of black cherry, blackberry and delicious dark chocolate tones. On the pallet we find vanilla, plum and granite. A blend of 91.7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec and 2.3% Petit Verdot.
JB Neufeld, Cabernet Sauvignon, Yakima Washington $39
She has a deep black red color with wonderful intensity all the way to the rim. The nose is dominated by black cherries, smoke, wild berries, and roasted pan drippings. Plush and full on the palate. This wine is a blend of 4 different vineyards made with the intention of showcasing the best of Yakima Valley in its entirety. This wine has fruit from up and down the valley-from cold sites and hot sites: Elephant Mountain, Red Willow, Two Blondes, and Ciel du Cheval.
