The estate is located in the heart of the Tokaji region, on slopes surrounding the famous wine village of Sárospatak. It was long acknowledged for having one of the finest vineyards of the region. Its volcanic, rocky soils ensure that the native varieties
Pale yellow and highly aromatic with notes of ripe peaches and pears on the nose. The palate has rich stone fruit and tropical fruit flavors of peaches and lychee. A grapefruit acidity gives freshness to the wine which finishes long and fruity. 85% Furmint, 13% Hárslevelű, 2% Yellow Muscat fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruitiness.

Barth Christopher, Zwei Zimmer Küche, Rheinhessen Germany $29
He has 7 hectares of Demeter biodynamic certified vineyards in three different plots in the part of the Rheinhessen that borders Würtemberg to the south, and the Pfalz to the south east. The style here is crystalline, herbal, with streaks of citric energy. A big part of the magic is the organic work in the vineyards, but there’s also the craft of Christopher’s tasting and blending of various vineyard plots, barrels, and grape varieties.: 60% Weiss Burgunder, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Muller-Thurgau. No added Sulfur!

It is now the fifth generation that holds the reins of this estate, founded in 1854. Situated near Colmar, the Domain benefits from an exceptional micro-climate and one of the lowest annual rainfall in the whole of France. The Domain extends to some 28 hectares and has always been cultivated with respect for nature. Towards the end of the nineties, the vineyards were turned over to fully organic (certified in 2004) and bio-dynamic culture.Pale yellow colour. Spicy flavours of pepper and nutmeg. This wine is fresh, complex and dense. 28% Riesling, 24% Pinot Blanc & Auxerrois, 21% Pinot Gris, 19% Gewurztraminer and 10% Sylvaner.
