Jouclary, Cabardes Rose, Languedoc-Roussillon, Cabardes France $16
With a lovely pale color but plenty of ripe strawberry and melon fruit flavors, this affordable blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and 10% Cinsault from an area right near Roussillon is ready to party this spring and summer!
Rezabal, Txacoli Rose, Pais Vasco. Spain $18
This wine hails from the Basque region of Spain. It has a crisp, effervescent taste with notes of green apple and citrus. It has a pale pink color and slight effervescence. Made with 100% Hondarrabi Beltza. Aromatic, dry and slightly effervescent. It has delicate flavors of wild strawberries, bright acidity, and great minerality. The main grape is Hondarribi Beltza, a cousin of Cabernet Franc, which means there are components of herbs, vegetables and flowers.
Arndorfer, “Vorgeschmack” Rose, Kampala Austria $26
100% Rotburger juice sits 14 hours on the skins to extract the bright cherry fruit character of the grape. After pressing this wine, which is fermented with native yeast they add some skins of Grüner Veltliner, to extract the spicy character of Grüner and add some tannins. A little bit of neutral French oak (used barrels).Very little sulfur, and no fining or filtration.
La Paradou, Cinsault Rose, Rhone, France $19
A blend of Grenache and Syrah grapes from the South of France. This wine has a pale pink color with a bouquet of fresh strawberries and roses. On the palate, you'll notice its crisp acidity and flavors of red berries and citrus.
