A unique wine with aromas of passion fruit, papaya, and melon, engulfed by a savory basil note. First taste, the aromatic herbs are dominant, but the floral and fruity notes that come afterwards are perfectly integrated in it. A full body wine, with a pleasant minerality and a long finish.

Domaine Vinarte, Castel Bolovanu Novac Samburesti, Romania $17.00

Novac grape variety was obtained in 1987 through individual selection from the variety Negru Vartos and variety Saperavi. The wine has a ruby-red colour, full-bodied, fine tannins and good acidity. A real distinguishing mark of viticulture in southern Romania, the Novac variety displays a whole "fruit basket" (blueberries, ripe cherries), complemented by fine shades of chocolate and a lot of liveliness.
