Wine Tasting: $25
Villa Sparina, Barbera del Monferrato Piedmont, Italy $21
A medium bodied wine, boasting aromas of wild raspberry, blackberry, dark cherry, and a hint of tobacco leaf. It has a pleasant acidity and tannic structure, with soft round tannins that give a velvety finish. Barbera is an everyday drinking wine of Piedmont which does not require too much aging like its big brother Nebbiolo. Fresh and fun.
Terenzuola, Vermentino Rosso Tuscany Italy $27
We usually see Vermentino as a white wine. But we see this exciting gal in a red dress! A rare genetic offshoot of the well known white grape Vermentino, this is a fantastic medium bodied red wine with beautiful acidity and minerality. Pale cherry red in color, and light and fruity in style. It has surprising richness of red cherry fruit flavors with punchy acidity and silky smooth tannins. 90% Vermentino Nero, 10% Pollera.
Cantele, Salice Salentino Reserva Puglia, Italy $21
Ruby red in color with garnet streaks, this wine offers intense and complex aromas of candied fruits and spices that evolve into clean underbrush, tea and amber. Enhanced by notes of red flowers, the same aromas linger on the palate. The tannins and fresh acidity work together to create a balanced, smooth wine. A blend of roughly 95% Negroamaro and 5% Malvasia Nera
Masciarelli Marina Cvetic, “Iskra” Montepulciano D’Abruzzo Riserva Abruzzo, Italy $50
A seductive bouquet with aromas of blueberries, blackberries, sweet herbs, spice, and a hint of pastry cream. The oak influence is evident but well-integrated, contributing to the wine's silky texture and elegant display of ripe blue fruits. Structured with fine-grained tannins that saturate as cocoa and balsamic spice slowly taper off.100% Montepulciano aged in French barriques for 12 months, followed by an additional 24 months of bottle rest before release.
