France

A fantastic lineup of French wines. Not only are we tasting a sparkling red Gamay and a Sancerre (Sauv Blanc) from the Loire Valley, but then we get into a gorgeous Bordeaux from St Emilion, and we finish with the king of the Rhone: Chateauneuf du Pape! Each one is big in flavor with ample fruit and complexity.

October 30th

2-8 PM

Wine Tasting: $25

Patrice Colin, Perles Rouge     Loire Valley, France $26
Very Cool! Sparkling 100% Gamay. The wine presents a brilliant ruby red color with a fine mousse that bubbles along the rim. On the palate, it showcases vibrant notes of red fruits, particularly cranberry and raspberry, delivering a fresh and mouthwatering experience. A natural wine.

Nicolas Idiart, Sancerre      Loire Valley, France $33

Is Sancerre the best Sauvignon Blanc in the world? Maybe… The wine is aged on fine lees in concrete tanks, avoiding oak barrels to preserve its aromatic complexity. The Sancerre exhibits vibrant aromas of citrus, lime, and grapefruit, complemented by subtle floral notes. On the palate, it features flavors of green apple and lemon zest, with a hint of minerality, leading to a refreshing finish. 100% Sauvignon Blanc.

St. Andre Corbin, Bordeaux St George-St Emilion     Bordeaux, France  $26

A quality offering from the lesser-known Saint-Georges-Saint-Émilion appellation. The wine is characterized by its intense purple color and rich, fruity profile. On the nose, it offers aromas of ripe blackberry, with notes of chocolate and toasty oak. The palate continues the raspberry and adds savory notes of leather, and pencil lead! Light oak spices and harmonious tannins. Finishes with exceptional freshness that keeps the wine lively. 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc.

Comte de Lauze, Châteauneuf Du Pape     Rhone Valley, France    $49

Châteauneuf Du Pape is the benchmark appellation of the Southern Rhône. A powerful nose bursting with baking spice, mint, and pepper. The palate is very expressive and complex thanks both to the structure and the wide-ranging flavors that fuse vanilla and caramel with ripe strawberry, bramble berry, with added freshness from wintermint and candied flowers. The very expression of finesse… 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah.

Time: 2pm - 8pm or until the bottles run dry!
