La Goutte Du Seigneur, Cotes Du Rhone Blanc, Southern Rhone Valley, $17

Lovely Cotes-du-Rhône blend: Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc and Viognier. Biodynamic and feel good stuff! Pale lemon colour. Very aromatic nose, lots of orchard notes with white flowers, peach, nectarine and pomelo. Palate is pretty much following the nose, floral and stone fruit. Dry, medium body, medium acidity and medium body. Lovely stuff! I can drink this every day.

Frederic Esmonin, “Les Genevrieres” Bourgogne, Burgundy $23

Les Genevrieres glows light red in the glass, yielding aromas of tart cranberry, ripe strawberry, and hints of brown spices. On the palate, soft cherry fruit eases into fleshed-out raspberry elements. The finish is bright and elongated, tying together a very charming, easy-to-drink Burgundy.

Chateau Saint-Christophe, Medoc Cru Borgeois, Bordeaux $24

This Bourgeois cru from the Northern Médoc has a broad aromatic palette with delicious flavours. The Château Saint Christophe is a true olfactory journey in itself, you will love its sweet and long finish that is reminiscent of the Bordeaux Grand Crus. It will be greatly appreciated alongside game or a tasty cheese platter! Château Saint Christophe is one of those Médoc properties to count on, as evidenced by this beautiful nectar!

Chateau Laffitte-Testan, Madiran Languedoc $21

Jean-Marc Laffitte, owner of Château Laffitte-Teston, began bottling wine from his family's domain in 1975. Prior to then, all the wine used to be sold in bulk. The estate vineyards are located in Maumusson in the appellation of Madiran in the Southwest of France. Soils of chalky clay are planted with 70% Tannat, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc vines which average 40 years of age. The Reflet du Terroir is a blend of 70% Tannat with 15% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. All grapes are hand-harvested and de-stemmed before being fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is fermented on the skins for 20 days during which the tanks are drained twice and returned on top of the cap. After fermentation the wine stays in tank for three months before being transferred to 1 and 2 year old barrels where it matures for 12 months. The resultant wine is dark and full flavored with lots of power and elegant tannins. Pair with hearty roasted meats.
