J’aime la Loire
The Loire Valley is the Garden of France! With the 634 mile Loire River flows (mostly) West from the mountains of central France to the Atlantic Ocean. Famous for their aromatic intensity and refreshing acidity.
We scratch the surface with a sparkling Rose, a fun Muscadet, a dreamy Sauvignon Blanc, and one stupendous red: Gamay! Come down to be delighted and excited about the Loire.

Here’s the line up!
Charles Bove, Sparkling Rose, Touraine, $24
This bubble is a deep, rich, full-bodied, dry, red-fruit sparkling Rose. A méthode traditionelle sparkling made from 70% Cabernet Franc (fine aromatics and acidity) and 30% Gamay (fruit and low alcohol). The wine rests on its lees in Bove’s chalk caves for eighteen months before being disgorged. This is fresh, dry, and very pleasing.
La Mariniere, Muscadet Sevre et Maine $12
I love Muscadet. It is a very bright and zesty wine that juxtaposes with a creamy mouth feel from resting “Sur Lie”. Made from Melon de Bourgogne grapes that impart lemon, lime, green apple and pear flavors. This highly-acidic wine, also known for mineral and salty characteristics, is meant to be consumed young, and pairs well with aggressive foods Especially seafood, a classic pairing is oysters. Mmmmmmm.
Roussely, Sauvignon Blanc “L’Escale”, Loire $19
A juicy, fresh and thirst-quenching Sauvignon, this is essentially a Sancerre style without the price tag. Coming from Touraine, this Sauvey B ticks all the boxes: fleshy stone fruit, bright acidity and minerality. And its
Roussely, Gamay “Canaille”, Loire $19
Organically grown, low-intervention/natural wine. The vineyards are worked manually and with horse-drawn plows, no chemicals are used, for the protection of biodiversity. 100% Gamay from hand harvested grapes, fermented in whole bunches in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Bottling is done with minimal sulfur, and without fining or filtration. This light bodied red is spicy and refreshingly expressive, with aromas of dark berries, rose petals, and crushed herbs.
