WASHINGTON
WASHINGTON WINE MONTH…
A second dose of wines from our big back yard. Washington is blessed to have many microclimates making so many wonderful wines. This week we sample a sparkling Pinot Gris, a fresh Riesling, a wild red blend, and a rich Malbec. Do your taste buds a flavor and try these wines out yourself!

Patterson Cellars, Forbidden Bubbles $16
Sparkling goodies made of mostly Pinot Gris with a splash of Chardonnay and Riesling. A dry palate with a zesty finish of peach stones, almond skins and honeysuckle. A super value for Washington bubbles.
Barnard Griffin, Riesling $13
Sourced from the Caroway Estate Vineyard in Columbia Valley. Intense and vibrant flavors of peach, orange peel, apricot and apple. Mouthwatering, crisp, and refreshing with a cleansing finish. A perfect spring wine.
Upsidedown Wines, The Method Red Blend $27
A fun blend of 45% Nebbiolo, 30% Cabernet, 25% Malbec. Aromas of hay, peat and cherry followed by a palate full of the same, along with plentiful cherry flavors. The acidity gives it a pleasing snap. Very cool.
Finn Hill, “Vivant” Malbec $29
Inky purple-magenta color and wafts perfumed aromas of crushed black and red berries on wet gravel, with hints of molasses and bay leaf. The pour delivers predominant fruit notes of blackberry, boysenberry, red currant, and blueberry. The finish brings mellow plum-skin acidity and tannin.
