Wine Tasting: Pinot Noir From Around the world

Pinot Noir from around the world!

Hey Pinotphiles! Four different styles of pinot from 4 different areas. This is a fun way to contrast and compare Pinot Noir grown and aged in Italy, France, Oregon, and California.

@ Humble Vine

May 17th

2-8 PM

Wine Tasting: $20

Terlano, Pinot Nero, Alto Adige Italy, $36

After gentle pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then transferred to big oak casks for malolactic fermentation and aging. This Pinot Noir is ruby-red in color with a delicate berry and dried fruit aroma. It is dry and medium bodied, with lively acidity and a light gift of tannin.

Le Vigne Mouton, “Terre de Chazeux” Burgundy Rouge,  France $34

Bright ruby core slowly moving out to a lighter ruby rim. The nose reveals beautiful perfume in slow, extended waves: fresh lavender, roses, and herbs jump to the fore, followed by crushed rocks and forest flora. But what really shines brightest here are the pure, high-toned fruits of redcurrant, black plum, boysenberry, muddled cherries, and wild strawberries.

Willful Wines, “Jezebel” Pinot Noir, Willamette Oregon $22

A sharp, spicy herbal note rings across the palate and frames concise rhubarb and cranberry fruit. Despite its youth, the flavors are nicely integrated and the finish smooth and supple. This wine delivers a lot of true varietal flavor, which is not always the case with wines at this affordable price. Bonus! Though the label reads simply Oregon, it's made with 100% Willamette Valley grapes.

Goldeneye, Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley California $54

Sourced from estate vineyards and aged in 100% new French oak. The aroma is complex with notes of cherry, earth, smoke, cedar and flowers. The flavors are predominantly plum, blackberry, mushroom and strawberry shaded with toasty oak. From Duckhorn Vineyards.

Time: 2pm - 8pm or until the bottles run dry!
