North Spain is home to some of the country's most celebrated wines, with a rich and diverse viticultural landscape. With a combination of favorable terroir, skilled craftsmanship, and a longstanding winemaking heritage, North Spain wines continue to captivate the palates of wine enthusiasts worldwide. We will taste two whites and two reds from across the Northern parts of Spain. The whites hail from the North west, Ribeiro and Rias Baixas The reds from the north East, Rioja and Penedes.

Val do Avia, Treixadura Ribeiro, Spain $21
This 100% Treixadura (Tray-shuh-dure-ah) has elegance and subtlety. Aromas of stone and citrus fruits, white flowers, honey, herbs and balsamic, Golden delicious apple, tart nectarine, a touch of hazelnut and jasmine, with a round juicy palate and refreshing acidity. The palate is balanced, fine and delicate. Ribeiro's whites are gastronomic and versatile wines that evolve very well in the bottle.
Eidosela, Albarino, Rias Baixas, Spain $18
We love Albarino, especially from Rias Baixas. Albarino is an aromatic wine with a zippy and clean taste. Hints of apricot, ripe peach skins, and lemon zest . It’s fresh, balanced, with a noticeable minerality. Long finish and bitey texture on the palate.
La Bicicleta, Rioja Valadora, Rioja Spain $21
A modern unoaked Rioja made with minimal intervention in the winery. Medium-light bodied with delicate flavors of violets and cranberries. A bright color and nice fruitiness make this wine a refreshing summer red.
Pardas, Negra Franca Penedes, Spain $27
Rich ruby in color, the wine has abundant amount of fruit and fine legs. The nose is serious and intensely fragrance, showing a balsamic background, with aromas of black pepper, fresh plums and hints of candied oranges and pencil lead. In the mouth, the wine seduces and expands, providing plenty of fleshy, black fruit. The persistent tannins give way to a long, elegant finish Cabernet Franc 77%, Cabernet Sauvignon 23%.
