Quidditty, “Rhathymia” Roussanne, Rattlesnake Hills, Washington $29
Rhathymia; “carefree behavior; lightheartedness.” 100% Roussanne sourced from the Sugarloaf Vineyard within Washington’s Rattlesnake Hills AVA. It was fermented and aged in stainless steel, providing a clean varietal nature. Big and rich. Great with anything salty or buttered….
Newsprint, Malbec, Columbia Valley Washington $25
Get ready to understand why people have fallen in love with Malbec. The intense vineyard heat on these berries has yielded a muscular, but not aggressive, wine. Your mouth will be coated with the concentrated flavors of juicy black berry right from the get-go. As the flavor lingers, black pepper and spice will envelop your mouth. Although big and powerful, this wine is perfect for any occasion.
Devison, “GPR” Red Blend, Columbia Valley Washington $30
Syrah makes up 57% of this wine, with the rest Grenache (40%) and Mourvèdre. Small lot, native fermentations. Pretty, youthful ruby color, the aromas strike both high and low chords with pitchy purple flower, raspberries and citrus peel making way for deeper tones of roasted game, dark plum and licorice twig. The palate is both rich and seamless with a great inner mouth vigor and saline-type minerality driving flavors of smoky black raspberries, pomegranate, and grilled herbs.
Saviah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Walla Walla, Washington $31
The wine is bursting with harmonious fruit flavors consisting of cassis, black cherry, and plum. A touch of cocoa nibs and a nice frame of spicy oak. Balanced and velvety, this cab will build on your palate and treat you with a smooth, long finish.A true expression of the Walla Walla Valley, this wine is delicious with artfully balanced acidity showing ripe black and red fruit flavors with notes of cocoa and touch of sweet herb.
