Mark Ryan, BTR “Speed Racer” Red, Columbia Valley $17
In 2023 Mark Ryan winery launched “Speed Racer” to bring even more delicious, affordable options to the table. Maintaining the uncompromising quality of Mark Ryan. 50% Malbec, 25% Syrah, 25% Merlot. The first vintage of Speed Racer Red opens with a perfume of violets and black cherry with a dense, concentrated flavor of dark fruit and pomegranate. This fruit-forward blend is quintessential Washington in style and approachable for any red wine fan.
Finn Hill, “Pavé” Grenache, Walla Walla $29
Pavé was harvested from the famous “rocks district”, near Walla Walla. Where ancient river cobblestones litter the ground, much like those in the Rhone Valley. The nose starts off with a delicate aroma suggesting minerals and dark, sweet flowers. Develops into citrus rind, ripe grapefruit, and sweet spices like licorice root and allspice. The palate is supple with flavors of ripe boysenberry, black currant, raspberry and blackberry, and pomegranate.
Structure, Red Blend, Columbia Valley $27
From our buddy Brian Grasso over in SODO. He sources an=mazing fruit, creates fantastic wines for a great price!! The Red Blend is balanced and rich. Aromas of blackberries, blueberries, and plum. Savory notes of black currant tea, green bell pepper. Medium bodied, and finish nicely.
50% Cabernet Franc + 50% Syrah in French oak.
Bledsoe Family, Cabernet Sauvignon, Walla Walla $55
Drew Bledsoe, famous for his Doubleback Cab (and his NFL career), created the Bledsoe Family winery. Here is an outstanding Walla Walla Cabernet. Dark ruby in the glass, it blossoms aromatically with dark fruits like blackberry and Bing cherry, followed up by graphite, wood shavings, and baking spice. Ultra-balanced with long, fine-grained tannins and great acidity. The finish on this wine is Wonderful. Classy Walla Walla Cab for a steal of a price. Ready to drink but will age nicely for 15 more years (if you want to…)
75% Cab, 13% Merlot, 11% Malbec, 1% Cab Franc aged for 22 months in 57% new French oak barrels and puncheons.
