@ Humble Vine

October 11th

2-8 PM

Wine Tasting: $20

Bonny Doon, Le Cigar Blanc,    Central Coast, California    $18

60% Grenache Blanc, 32% Vermentino, 8% Clairette Blanche. While the blend features Grenache Blanc in the majority, it is really the Vermentino character that shines through. Pineapple, lime, mango and pine tree, herbal underbrush and wet stones. There is a lively acidity on the palate and the addition of Clairette Blanche to the blend adds sustained length to the palate.

Cruse, “Rorick” Chardonnay,    Sierra Foothills, California    $37

This wine comes from a unique site high in the Sierra Foothills just outside of the town of Murphys. The vines are own-rooted and planted in 1974 in schist soils over a limestone bedrock and was recently purchased by Matthew Rorick and his family. The vine age, elevation, and rocky soils create incredibly low yielding vines with the tiniest of clusters. Aromas of orange blossoms, apricot, and sweet cream lead to a palate of fresh citrus, ripe pear, and white flowers with a pleasing mineral finish.

Folk Machine, Valdiguie,     Redwood Valley , California    $25

Valdiguie is a grape that is from the Languedoc-Roussillon region in Southern France. But California sure has taken a shine to it. This California version is a lean, light-bodied wine with plenty of acidity, somewhat similar to Beaujolais. Bright, tart red berries, an herbal finesse and vibrant acidity that butts up agains an earthy edge. Light and easy to drink, but far from simple.

Rombauer Vineyards, Zinfandel,     Napa Valley, California     $40

The essence of Napa Zinfandel. The wine bursts with bright fruit aromas of cherry and red plum, with notes of vanilla, holiday spices, and lavender all jumping out on the nose. Plum flavors continue to the palate, joined by layers of raspberry jam, mocha, clove, and white pepper

Time: 2pm - 8pm or until the bottles run dry!
