Wine Tasting: $25

Cognettes, “les 2 Terres” Muscadet    Loire Valley, France $19

Muscadet is a wine made of stone and salt. Grown in sight of the sea with granite soils. Grown in the Muscadet region of  the most western Loire, with the grape being Melon de Bourgogne. Aged Sur lie, or on the yeast. Aromas of yellow apple, dragonfruit, and lemon curd are here too, before a full bodied palate tense with acid and well defined mineral notes. Powerfully strong flavors of apples and melons and lemons drift off to a delicately salty finish.

Bodegas Mustiguillo,  “Mestizaje” Merseguera/Malvasia/Viognier     Valencia, Spain $21

The white blend 2022 Mestizaje Blanco was produced with 61% Merseguera, 16% Xarello, 15% Malvasía and 8% Viognier, mostly grafted on old Bobal vines in Finca Calvestra at 920 meters in altitude. It fermented by variety and plot with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and then matured with the fine lees in stainless steel and concrete for six months. It’s not a shy white with 13.5% alcohol and good freshness and acidity. 2022 is a little more exuberant, more expressive and open, direct, quite immediate. They harvested a little earlier to keep the freshness.

Borgo del Tiglio, Milleponche Bianco     Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy$26

Borgo del Tiglio vineyards are located on the "Ponca" hills in North West Italy, near the Slovenian border. Fifty million years ago, this area was a marine lagoon, and the soils are rich in minerals, which is wonderfully reflected in the taste. The wine has a subtle floral aroma, with a rich, almost buttery mouthfeel, complemented by hints of greenery. It lingers pleasantly after being swallowed. A very fine Italian Chardonnay with notes of green apple, pear, butter, cream, and oak. It has a crisp acidity and a smooth, long finish.

Pollerhof, Vom Loss Blanc     Niederosterreich, Austria $39

Erwin Poller has a group of small vineyards which he calls the aromatics: Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Traminer, and others. He produces difficult to obtain bottlings of each. This wine is a blend of the three. The wine has brisk acidity, and vivid full-bodied flavor. It's clean and crisp at the same time. The grapes are steel tank fermented, the soil is loess. (which is what you see on the label). 65% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Gelber Muskateller, 5% Traminer.

Time: 2pm - 8pm or until the bottles run dry!
