Wednesday, April 9th

2-8 PM

Wine Tasting: $25

Veron, Cave de la Boquette, Sancerre      Loire Valley, France  $36

Perched high on a hill dominating the Loire, Sancerre is a small pretty town of about 2,000 inhabitants, (pictured) situated to the East of the Berry and in the Cher department. About 200 km South of Paris. 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the best vineyards in the Sancerre region. This wine is soft, with a warm, tropical-fruit character. With crisp acidity to back up the ripe fruit, it is a well-balanced wine, both crisp and generous.

La Mascarone, Cotes du Provence Rose      Provence, France  $29

The Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Vermentino and Mourvèdre grapes, typical Provence varieties, are harvested at the height of ripeness. Ripe with red-berry flavors alongside the wine's intense acidity, this is young, full of fruit. The fruit flavors are complex, textured, with a tangy finish.

Feraud, VDF “Claux Guillard” Grenache Rouge       Lirac, Southern Rhone, France  $29

100% Grenache. A light med- ruby color. A pronounced nose of juicy red cherry, strawberry-rhubarb, rose petals, and garrigue (herbs de provence). A medium body, with chewy, youthful tannins means this wine has some stuffing too.  A pronounced palate and a cool, long finish that resonantes with red fruit and tannin. This is a delicious expression of 100% Grenache from a sandy parcel in Lirac from Chateauneuf producer Domaine Feraud.

Domaine de Rombeau, Cotes du Roussillon Villages      Roussillon, France $24

One of the most storied estates in Roussillon.By 1850, the Domaine de Rombeau family had amassed vineyard holdings and became of one the region’s first to bottle wine. Tanks that date from that period can still be found on the estate. Warming baking spice wafts from the glass followed by rhubarb, cassis and dried black cherry. The palate is muscular with supportive red-fruit delicately in the background. 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 15% Mourvèdre

Time: 2pm - 8pm or until the bottles run dry!
