July 24th

2-8 PM

Wine Tasting: $20

Cantele, “Salice” Salentino Riserva       Puglia, Italy    $21

Made of Negroamaro grapes. Streaks of garnet giving way to intense ruby red. Aromas are of candied fruits and spices that evolve into clean underbrush, tea, and amber notes, enhanced by notes of red flowers., On the palate we find it medium bodied, earthy, and crisp. The tannins and fresh acidity work in counterpoint to create a balanced wine..

Giacosa Fratelli, Nebbiolo D’Alba Piedmont, Italy    $24

Light to medium color typical of Nebbiolo. Filled with notes of violets, roses and spices. Lively and fruity on the palate with balanced tannins and acidity..

Custodi, Etna Rosso “Aetneus”       Sicily, Italy   $49

This outstanding and versatile volcano grown (pictured above) Etna Rosso has black cherry and other dark red fruits plus grilled herb, cocoa, and tobacco. Luscious and complex, medium bodies and elegant. From vines between 90 and 150 years-old planted at 2000ft. on the slopes of Mt. Etna, organically farmed.

Mostly Nerello Mascalese with smaller percentages of Nerello Cappuccio and Alicante.

Scaranto, Amarone della Valpolicella       Verona, Italy   $40

Red color lending towards garnet; the nose is followed by notes of black cherry spices, vanilla, up to more intense sensations of leather and cocoa; in the mouth it is broad and mellow, soft tannins.

On the palate, the Amarone unfolds like a masterpiece in motion. Its full-bodied grace envelops the senses, delivering a symphony of velvety tannins and well-balanced acidity that reflect the unique character of the vintage and its Veneto heritage.
