Mollydooker
Mollydooker Winery, founded in 2005 by Sarah and Sparky Marquis in McLaren Vale, South Australia, is renowned for its innovative winemaking techniques and vibrant wine packaging. Mollydooker is a term for a left hander… They are definitely in the top tier of wineries in Australia, NAY… the world! I had an amazing experience when I met Sparky when he was on an American tour to show his beautiful wines back in 2008. I fell in love with their style and wines. Since then, they have accrued worldwide fame.
We are pleased to have a representative in the house to tell us all we need to know about this fantastic winery. (Yes! She has an Aussie accent…) S0 come on in to taste and hear about this wonderful company.

Miss Molly Sparkling Shiraz is full of rich fruit flavors like Maraschino cherry and fresh plum, delving into chocolate and mocha layers as well. The palate has hints of cinnamon and vanilla cream while the bubble and bead add a vibrancy to the mouth feel.
Mollydooker, "Maitre D” Cabernet Sauvignon McLaren vale, Australia $32
The Maitre D’ was named after Sparky, who put himself through winemaking college as a left handed waiter. The 2022 Maître D’ Cabernet is a wine with deep red and purple hues and a rich aroma. It’s complex and flavorful, with cherry and blackberry notes transitioning into hints of licorice, cigar box, and mocha, all while maintaining fruit sweetness. This Cabernet is a well-balanced delight.
Mollydooker, “The Boxer” Shiraz McLaren vale, Australia $34
‘Mollydooker’ is old Aussie slang for a left handed boxer and our Boxer always punches well above his Fruit Weight™. Did you notice he has two left-handed gloves?
The 2022 Boxer boasts a robust foundation of dark fruit, black cherries, mocha, and a hint of clove spice that comes alive in the glass. Its velvety texture delivers notes of fresh plum, balanced tannins, and a subtle touch of toasted oak, all of which enhance the richness of the fruit. This wine offers a complex experience with multiple layers that are sure to impress.
Mollydooker, “Blue Eyed Boy” Shiraz McLaren vale, Australia $67
Named after the son of award wining winemakers Sarah and Sparky Marquis. Black crimson in color, this wine leaps from the glass with powerful aromatics of blueberries, fresh plum, licorice and nuances of chocolate biscuit. The seamless texture is laced with fresh berry fruit, coffee, vanilla cream and warm spice, giving us a full-bodied Shiraz with an endless depth of flavor and great length.
