We run through some fun wines from the “Old World”. Old world meaning Europe! We will try a wonderful and unique sparkling wine from Portugal, and a fresh rose from the Loire Valley in France. Then on to Italy where we try 3 fun and unique Reds. Come in and hear all about them.

Luis Pato, Baga Vinho Espumante, Portugal $16
What a fun wine! Perfect for pizza parties or BBQs, this food friendly sparker shows a beautiful light ruby color in the glass. Rousseau Frères, Touraine, Noble Joué Rosé, Loire France $16
Pale coppery, orange and pink in color, with qualities of rose petal, lemon zest, pink currant, young raspberry, white peach and spice in a lively, crisp, refreshing style.
Lantica Cantina, Portale San Severo, $11
Made from Montepulciano grapes. It is a warm, soft and harmonious wine, with hints of red fruit, excellent with roasted or grilled meats The Portal of the oldest sacred building of San Severo dating back to 1059 represents the historical heart of the city, as this wine represents the San Severo DOP.
Monte Dall’ Ora, Valpolicella Classico, Italy $18
Charming Valpolicella. Another youthful wine but this one is on the feminine side. Ruby in color with purple hue. Freshly cut grass, rose petals, forest floor on the nose. Red berries on the palate with good balances between fruit and acidity. Tannins are rounded, fine and polished.
La Stoppa, Trebbiolo Rosso, Italy $24
60% Barbera/40% Bonarda, The fruit is organically farmed and harvested by hand. It is destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel with a 20-day skin maceration; the wine is aged in stainless steel. No sulfur at any point in the process. The name "Trebbiolo" is derived from the name of nearby river and valley Trebbia.
