Piedmont Italy

A Piedmont Extravaganza! We are starting with a delightful rosé and a crisp white, each crafted from a harmonious blend of three or more grapes. These vibrant wines capture the essence of the region’s diversity, offering layers of fruit-forward goodness that dance on the palate.

From there, we journey deeper into the heart of Piedmont with two stunning reds. These wines are pure expressions of Nebbiolo’s magic, showcasing the unique character of this beloved grape. One hails from the charming town of Ghemme, offering elegance and finesse, while the other shines from the legendary hills of Barolo, delivering power and complexity.

GD Vajra, “Rosabella” Rose        Piedmont, Italy      $19

Floral, rich, with rose petals, raspberry, fresh strawberry and strawberry blossoms, cherry stone and a very distinctive signature of Nebbiolo.  In the mouth, it discloses a lovely balance and texture, with aromatics of oriental citrus, strawberry, raspberry, orange blossoms and a hint of incense. It finishes long, soft and fruity.  Nebbiolo 85%, Barbera 10%, Dolcetto 5%

GD Vajra, Langhe Bianco “Dragon”          Piedmont, Italy      $22

A great blend of whites found in the Langhe are of Piedmont. Opens to fresh fruit aromas such as kiwi, lime and pear. Hints of minerality like flint and sea stones complete the elegant bouquet. The palate is citrusy whit flavors of orchard fruit, macerated elder flower and candied orange peel that shine through the fresh and vibrant acidity. It consists of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Nascetta, and a small amount of Riesling!

Francesco Brigitte, “Oitre il Bosco” Ghemme         Piedmont, Italy     $35

Made entirely of Nebbiolo, from two high altitude vineyards in the Pelizzane and Livelli areas of Ghemme, on the edge of the wood that divides the two sub-areas of the appellation. Light ruby red color. Intense and elegant with red fruit and violets and a spicy hint of underbrush forest floor.  100% Nebbiolo aged 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrel, then rests in the bottle for 12 months before release.

Ca Rome, Barolo Rapet Gold Label         Piedmont, Italy     $69

A real serious Barolo. Darkly concentrated and rich with black fruit, dried plum and dried blackberry. Steeped plum and fig flavors are augmented by savory notes of eucalyptus, and juniper in this dense, meaty red. Also Classic notes of roses and a a slight tar note, in the best way! Once this sheds its ironclad tannins, the fruit should come to the fore. Fine, fresh and long finish . Only 375 cases were made!

Time: 2pm - 8pm or until the bottles run dry!
