A California lineup with one white and 3 reds. A blanc Rhone blend from Treanna, then Broc’c 5 grape blend of unique reds, and then 2 Zinfandels. One from famed Ridge cellars, and one Napa in from the first African-American owned winery Brown. A wonderfully diverse lineup from up and down the California coast.

Treanna, White Blend Central Coast, California $26
Treana Blanc is a luscious full bodied Rhone blend with aromas of white peach and apricot. The aromas explode onto the palate and intertwine beautifully with lemon zest and fresh orange blossom flavors. The rich and oily mouth feel weights the wine through the long creamy finish. A bright splash of acid balances this well rounded white wine.
Broc Cellars, Love Red North Coast, California $24
Broc Cellars turns out this easy drinking red wine made from a blend of Carginan, Syrah and Valdiguié. Made to be light and quaffable, it's a delicious thirst quencher. Even better when it's slightly chilled. Fermented with native yeast and a bit of SO2 at bottling. Broc Cellars is located in the heart of Berkeley and has become a stand out producer in the new wave of California winemakers.

Ridge, Three Valleys Zinfandel Sonoma, California $29
This wine, which comes from different vineyards in Sonoma. I find it full-bodied and lush, with a perfect combination of plummy, dark fruit with spicy accents and a silky texture. An undertone of earthiness adds to the complexity.
Brown Estate, Zinfandel Napa Valley, California $50
In the glass wide find a dark garnet core, with a ruby rim. Aromas of rose petals, English lavender, cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus, allspice. The palate reveals soft mouthfeel with notes of strawberry pie shadowed by sleek acidity. Balanced and elegant with a lasting finish.
